Behind The Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids

Behind The Ear Hearing Aids are one of the most common and versatile types of hearing aids. As the name suggests, these devices sit comfortably behind the ear, with a small tube connecting to an ear mold or a soft tip that fits inside the ear canal. BTE hearing aids are suitable for various degrees of hearing loss, from mild to profound & are known for their durability and powerful amplification. They are equipped with advanced features such as directional microphones, volume controls and wireless connectivity options. BTE hearing aids are often recommended for individuals with moderate to severe hearing loss and their larger size makes them easier to handle and maintain, especially for seniors or individuals with dexterity issues.

Work Process of Behind The Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids:

Sound Collection

The BTE hearing aid microphone captures environmental sounds, including speech & background noise.

Sound Processing

The captured sound is sent to a small digital processor inside the hearing aid, which amplifies the sound.

Sound Delivery

The amplified sound is then sent through the tube or receiver to the ear mold or tip in the ear canal.
