Completely In The Canal (CIC) Hearing Aids
Completely In the Canal (CIC) hearing aids are small, discreet devices designed to fit entirely within the ear canal, making them almost invisible when worn. These aids are custom-made to fit the unique shape of the wearer’s ear canal, providing a comfortable and secure fit. CIC hearing aids are typically recommended for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss. Despite their compact size, they offer advanced features such as noise reduction, feedback cancellation and wireless connectivity in some models. However, due to their small size, they may have limited battery life and fewer features compared to larger hearing aids and they might not be suitable for severe hearing loss or individuals with dexterity challenges.
Work Process of Behind The Ear (BTE) Hearing Aids:
Sound Collection
The BTE hearing aid microphone captures environmental sounds, including speech & background noise.
Sound Processing
The captured sound is sent to a small digital processor inside the hearing aid, which amplifies the sound.
Sound Delivery
The amplified sound is then sent through the tube or receiver to the ear mold or tip in the ear canal.
